Bought a new one and it was night/day difference. My first ScanSnap (I forget the model it was eons ago) was used, and was having a lot of trouble pulling in one sheet at a time. The demo is fully functional insofar as I recall (except for the big watermark on each scan), so you should be able to try out all the functionality.ĪDDED: here's that post: ĪDDED: Fred * based on what you're saying, the roller may be going bad. I use Acrobat DC for OCR, and I have my own filing system for scanned documents (as PDFs). To be fair, I never used much of the ScanSnap software suite, save for using it as a scanner. (primary hiccup: I had to uninstall the demo & reinstall the software to get it to work with the "just press the button to scan" on the S1500 after reinstall everything works great) After a hiccup or two, it's working perfectly for me. Based on a recent post about this very thing, I switched to VueScan.
